Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2013

A nice lot of three gamers, including one belonging to Habs brilliant defensive forward Claude Provost and another by big and tough Habs defenceman Ted Harris. Provost's gamer is a Victoriaville with a stamped "C. Provost" on the shaft and "14" at the top of the shaft above the knob, which is taped with black and covered with again with white. The blade has the original tape job, and stick shows nice overall game use with black marks throughout. Stick has no cracks or damage. Handwritten in ink near the top of the shaft is "Stick used by Joe, 15 Feb. 68, Det-0 Mont. 2. Scorers Richard, Beliveau. A tried and true friend. No. 14". Ted Harris' game-used CCM Custom Pro also has the white on black knob tape and original blade tape, and is stamped "Harris 10" on the shaft and "McNiece's" underneath. Stick has no cracks or damage of any sort, and shows excellent game use with marks on the blade and higher. Handwritten in ink near the top of the shaft is "Ted played a great game 15 Feb 68 Det. 0 Mont. 2 Scorers Beliveau, Richard. A real and true friend". The third gamer is more of a mystery and not necessarily a Canadiens stick. The name "Smith" on the shaft of this Northland Custom Pro has been blackened out, and "21" has been marked nearby. A nice white-taped knob shows plenty of handling, and the blade, with original tape job, has several puck marks scattered about. No cracks or chipping is to be seen. All in all, three nice gamers that include two important Habs from the 1960s.
