Defenceman Jack Duffy was selected by the New York Islanders in the 1991 NHL Supplemental Draft, but never saw action with the big club. But during training camp, preseason action, the team recycled a late-1980s Islanders jersey for the d-man to don at that time. This late-'80s gamer shows solid marks on the front and both sleeves, with some noticeable paint transfer and several small unrepaired holes on both sleeves. Pilling is also found on the lower hem and on the inside ath the elbows. To note is the nameplate that shows evidence of having a former nameplate before Duffy's was attached. The NHL Supplemental Draft was an offshoot of the NHL Entry Draft, used by teams to select collegiate players not eligible for the standard draft. In Duffy's case, he was chosen while a member of the Yale squad.
