Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2013
A terrific game-worn jersey from the mid-1970s Fort Worth Texans of the Central Hockey League, tagged in the collar as a Rawlings size 50 and includes team repairs found on the right sleeve, the front of the jersey, on the side above the blue stripe, and one on the back hem. Other battle scars include marks scattered about, paint transfer in various places (both blue and red), along with some board burns. There is evidence of a team crest being removed from the front and this jersey was most likely recycled from the 1973-74 New York Islanders. A nice vintage CHL gamer! The jersey has no evidence of a former nameplate and has a loop style fight strap with attached garter strap. Dave Lewis wore number 25 for the Islanders from 1973-74 to 1979-80.
