Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2013
The first overall pick in the 1988 NHL Draft and a solid bet for the Hockey Hall of Fame, Mike Modano wore this Minnesota North Stars gamer during his 1990-91 sophomore season. Modano, who retired with 561 goals, racked up 64 of his 1,374 regular season points in his second season in Minnesota when the North Stars made it all the way to the Stanley Cup final. "90-91-2" team patch sewn inside the rear hem indicates that this Modano game-worn jersey is from the North Stars' second season set. Size "54" is handwritten in faded blue ballpoint on the Maska Air-Knit flag tag in the back of the neck. Light wear with black marks on the double twill team crest sewn on the front and pale light reddish-brown stains on the sleeves and shoulders.
