Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2013
From Keith Acton, a guy who was a key player and relied-upon by his teammates and coaches. Offered is Acton's 1990-91 Philadelphia Flyers game-worn jersey, tagged in the collar with a faint handwritten size "50", with a scattering of marks, especially on the back, and with three nice team repairs found near the black tackle twill letters sewn on the white nameplate, as well as on the lower left sleeve and on the lower front. The back number "25" is orange and black tackle twill, while the sleeve numbers are white-on-black tackle twill. Sewn on the hem are the "CCM" and "NHL" logos. A nice game for sure. Keith Acton is the definitive hockey story. Not blessed with the ultra-talent of some of his more acclaimed teammates, Acton carved out a tremendously solid 15-season NHL career with six different teams, and carried on when he hung them up by turning to coaching, which has taken him from Philly to the Rangers, then the Leafs, and now Edmonton.
