Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2013

Bill Plager, younger brother of rough and tough Barclay and Bob, donned this St. Louis Blues game-worn jersey in the early-1970s at a time when he bounced back and forth between the Blues and various minor league clubs. It's a classic round neck blue durene jersey from the early days of the Blue Notes, tagged in the hem as a Size 46 Rawlings, with Giesler-Jorgen and washing instruction tags sewn alongside, and shows great game wear that features 2 team repairs on the left sleeve, another on the right sleeve, one on the back near the fight strap, another on the number "3" on the right sleeve, and one at the bottom of the big number "3" on the back. Various marks are scattered about as well. A classic gamer with a ton of team repairs! The fight strap on this blue beauty is a small loop type, and the team crest and numbers on back and sleeves are triple tackle twill blue on yellow on white. Just a great game-worn Blues garment from a fellow who often lived in the shadows of his famous brothers.
