He was a true star in the early years of the St. Louis Blues, Garry Unger, whose white Blues game-worn jersey from the 1972-73 campaign is now offered. This white durene round neck-style gamer is tagged in the hem by Rawlings as a size 48, with attached Geisler-Jorgen and washing instruction tags, and is adorned with a triple tackle twill team crest, number 7 on back, and alternate captain's "A" which shows signs of repairs. Marks are scattered throughout, with a team repair on each sleeve, one on the back, and two more on the front. This Blue Note beauty comes photo-matched to a small white thread located in the blue stripe above the "A", as well as the unique pattern of the white sewing thread line starting at the collar and going to the right shoulder. A great photo-matched jersey! The jersey has a small loop fight strap. Garry Unger was a superstar in every sense of the word. More than 1000 games spanning 15 years and four different teams, and a man who would play 914 consecutive games in the NHL, a record until Doug Jarvis racked up 964 games in a row. In the season that would see the man with the long blond locks wear this jersey, he would notch 41 goals, just one shy of his career-high 42 that he managed while with Detroit in 1969-70.
