Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2013
The second edition of hockey’s World Cup, held in 2004, featured the usual suspects – Canada, Russia, the U.S., Finland et al, with Canada taking out the Finns in the championship game. The Americans came close though, beating the Russians in the quarterfinals before losing to the Finns in the semi-finals, with superstar sniper and future HOFer Brett Hull in the U.S. lineup, albeit for just two games. Offered is a pair of Hull's game-used gloves from the tourney, made by Easton, and which show very light game-wear but have “Hull” embroidered on each cuff, and Hull has autographed each red, white, and blue glove with clear black marker. Also embroidered on the inside of each cuff is “J.C.C.”, with a screened “WC04” is on each glove as well, as is a handwritten “2”. A slick pair of gamers from a fellow inducted into the HOF in 2009.
