Here is a beautiful football team photo from the turn of the last century. It is a lovely larger cabinet photo of a team from St. Paul's School who's most famous graduate has got to be the great multi-sport athlete, Hobey Baker. Although this photograph is from after his time at the school, it is nonetheless an important visual document related to the early days of football in the USA. The sepia-toned image features 14 players in their great turtle-neck style wool uniforms, "SPS" prominently displayed on their chests. The proud-looking team was seated in-studio when this shot was taken. The photo itself measures 10" x 13.25" and is mounted to the usual type of cardboard backing used at the time. The overall size is 11" x 14". It has been matted and is just waiting for a frame. The bottom left corner of the photo has lifted from its' mount and the image has numerous small blemishes that you can see from our photos does not detract from the overall beauty of the piece. You won't find a much nicer image from this era in sport. A great addition to any collection or a unique conversation piece to adorn your wall.
