Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2013
Fullback and ex-NFLer Sean Bennett wore this Ottawa Renegades in 2004, his first of two seasons in Ottawa before moving on to the Toronto Argonauts. Although this gamer is tagged in the collar as “02-44” (year and size), Bennett would don this recycled jersey two years later in 2004, with evidence of a former nameplate noticeable. This gamer has the “2004 - 92nd Grey Cup” patch sewn on the right breast, and shows nice game wear with marks scattered about the front and on the shoulders, with marks on the back number “25”. Two small unrepaired holes are on the back as well. The Renegades were founded in 2002 after the city had lost their fabled Rough Riders franchise seven years prior, and suspended play after just four seasons.
