The Canadian Chewing Gum rookie card of Hall-of-Famer Babe Siebert leads the way in this off-condition pre-war lot. With creases and soiling but a clean back and the “letter” in the bottom portion still intact, the Siebert RC is in the F-G range and is accompanied by a G card of goalie John Ross Roach and a severely creased Ott Heller RC, which has a small tear and thus grades P. Fourteen O-Pee-Chee Series “E” cards from 1937-38 include half in the F-G neighborhood; #135-Fowler, 137-Hamilton RC, 140-Boll, 145-Kelly, 158-Drouin RC, 166-Northcott and 171-Gracie, with the other seven mighty rough and P due to heavy creases or back damage. Appearing with multiple creases are 147-Chamberlain RC, 168-Trottier, 169-Blinco and 177-Mondou, while back damage affects 136-Davidson, 155-Haynes and a duplicate of 168-Trottier. Relatively inexpensive fun awaits the winning bidder here.
