Always fascinating to browse through, chock full of info from the days of The Original Six, and wonderful reminders of stars on ice from eras leading up to modern times. Seven different NHL Record Books, one signed by the great Jean Beliveau, complete this sharp lot, beginning with the 1948-49 campaign with legendary Habs goalie Bill Durnan on the cover and totalling approximately 250 pages. The 1950-51 season follows, with another iconic netminder Terry Sawchuk gracing the cover, again about 250 pages in length. The '56-'57 season is next, with stars such as Howe, Beliveau and Armstrong on the cover, with more than 300 pages involved. The '57-'58 book follows, with cover boys Moore, Bathgate, and Duff among the six featured, and again with more than 300 pages. The 1960-61 version is next, this time with legends including Geoffrion, Mahovlich, and Hull smiling out at you, and as the years increase, so do the pages, with this one sitting at more than 350. The 1963-64 has Jean Beliveau and five others staring out, with a nice autograph of Beliveau featured above his photo. The pages have climbed to 375. And finally the 1965-66 version, with Beliveau, Hull, Howe and others on the cover. This year also features 375 pages. The overall condition of these digest-size books is excellent, with only slight wear and light fold lines / creases on some of the covers to be mentioned as well as light water stains on the 1961 issue. These NHL Record Books in this format would eventually come to an end and would gradually be changed to larger styles as the years went by and teams were added. An excellent seven book collection that would look great in any fans bookcase.
