Fabulous lot of four vintage men's team photos spanning the 1910s to 1930s, and showing a collection of fellows who took things seriously when it came time to have their pictures taken. Beginning with an undated cabinet photo of young men, possibly in their teens, with the name "Pittenway Ottawa" in the corner of the mat. Overall measurement with mat is 11" x 12 2/3", while photo itself is 7.5" x 9.5", with mat condition showing a few edge nicks and photo is in wonderful shape with just a bit of a possible water mark on the edge. Next is a large 10.5" x 14" cabinet photo, mounted on a 16" x 20" mat, of the 1919-20 J.J. McLaughlin Limited Hockey Team, and is a strikingly clear black and white image marked as a Walt Dickson photo. J.J. McLaughlin could possibly be the same J.J. McLaughlin who founded Canada Dry, and this photo seems to be a family affair with D.R. McLaughlin and R.R. McLaughlin included in the photo. Some small creasing, along with hard-to-see marks, are found on the photo, while the mat has seen better days, with some water marks, missing corners, and some large creasing to note. All in all, a magnificent photo of a serious looking bunch of players and managers. Next up is a 1934 group shot of what is described in an accompanying typed photocopy as "A Championship Team", discovered in an Erin, Ontario estate, and we are assuming the "E" in the sweaters is for "Erin". The 6" x 8" photo is mounted on a 10" x 12" mat, with some marks and a small crease on the photo, while the mat includes marks, several creases, and some water marks. All in all, a classic vintage team picture. Finally, a beautiful black and white photo of a 1967 reunion of the 1931-32 Sudbury Wolf Cubs Memorial Cup Champions, with none other than deceased Habs HOFer Toe Blake looking delighted to be standing with his former teammates. Photo measures approximately 10" x 16.5", and in its tasteful matted black frame comes to a nice 16" x 22". Photo appears to be pristine, with the frame showing just a touch of nicks and scuffs. Four sensational team photos to have, hold, and display. Wonderful.
