The 1938-39 season was a memorable one for Boston Bruins fans, as their team, led by rookie goaltender Frank "Mr. Zero" Brimsek, ran away with the regular season title, posting 36 wins in 48 games. They led the League in scoring and goals against, with Brimsek capturing both the Vezina Trophy and the Calder as top rookie. Their stacked lineup counted nine future Hall of Famers, including Eddie Shore, Dit Clapper, Bill Cowley, Cooney Weiland, Roy Conacher, Brimsek and the young "Kraut Line" of Schmidt, Dumart & Bauer. After surviving a triple overtime 7th game in their opening playoff series against the New York Rangers, famously won on Mel Hill's goal, the Bruins would go on to defeat the Toronto Maple Leafs in a five game Final, with Brimsek allowing only six goals in the series. This was Boston's second ever Cup win, and first in 10 years. Here is a complete program and ticket stub from the deciding 5th game, played April 16, 1939 at the Boston Garden; with Conacher scoring the winner in a 3-1 victory. Loaded with photos, the program (featuring iconic coach Art Ross on its cover) is in solid VG+ condition, as is the ticket stub, which has tape residue.
