Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2013
Among the rarest programs from the NHL's first dozen seasons are those that were produced for the Toronto St. Pats/Maple Leafs games at Arena Gardens, the team's home from 1919 to 1931. Offered here is such a rarity, from a January 24, 1931 encounter between the Leafs and the Ottawa Senators. This was Toronto's last season in their original rink before moving into the newly built Maple Leaf Gardens, and among its many stars were King Clancy, just acquired from the Senators, Ace Bailey, and the "Kid Line" of Conacher, Primeau & Jackson. The program is complete including its centerfold and in superb EX/NM condition, with a beautiful painted cover featuring Leafs vs. Maroons action; while inside are vintage photos, profiles and articles.
