Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2013
One of the greatest defencemen in hockey history, Ray Bourque won the Norris Trophy five times and was named to one of the NHL's two post-season All-Star teams an incredible 19 times! Tagged in the collar as a size 54, this 1995-96 Playoff Set Bourque gamer shows marks on the front and on both sleeves, with a small amount on the back as well. The jersey has custom-cut sleeves, as described in the accompanying LOA signed on Bruins letterhead by Bruins Media Relations Assistant Rusty Ingram. Ray's big bold black marker autograph sits on the right breast of his game-worn jersey, with the C sewn on the left breast in black and gold double twill. On the inside hem is a team stamp stating that it's an "Official Boston Bruins Playoff Set 1995-96 Season". Boston played the Panthers in the 1995-96 quarterfinals with two games played at home on April 24th and 25th, at which time this great HOF defenceman donned this important jersey.
