Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2013
It was the ultimate family affair when Gordie Howe and his two sons Marty and Mark played for the WHA Houston Aeros beginning in '73-'74 and lasting four years. Offered are three blue Aeros souvenir jerseys, all tagged in the collar as "K1 Medium", with white tackle twill stars on the shoulders, "Aeros" across the front, and names with letters individually sewn on to an attached nameplate. Each of the Howes has signed their particular number with blue marker, with Gordie writing "Gordon Howe Mr. Hockey HOF 72" on his #9, Marty signing "Marty Howe" on his #3, and Mark, who joined his dad in the HOF after being inducted in 2011, signing "Mark Howe HHOF 2011" on his number 4. Slight smudging on each of the signatures barely affects the terrific appearance of the sigs. Three 2" x 12" plaques are included.
