Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2013
From the circa early-1950s, a time when Jean Beliveau and Jacques Plante were just getting their feet wet, offered is a gorgeous Montreal Canadiens pro-style wool jersey complete with reinforced elbows, measuring 22" from underarm to underarm and 30" from collar to hem. This beauty is similar to ones the Canadiens players from that era wore, in dynamite condition with not one moth venturing onto this, or marks of any kind to note. Just one tiny 1/4" area on the three-layer felt crest, which has broken free of its stitching, is all that is wrong with this stunning example of an early-1950s Habs sweater.
