Patrick Roy became the first and only player to date to win the Conn Smythe Trophy for a third time when he led the Colorado Avalanche to their second Stanley Cup title in 2001. St. Patrick steered the Avs to playoff series wins over the Canucks, Kings, Blues and Devils, outdueling New Jersey's Martin Brodeur in a thrilling seven-game final as fellow HOFer Raymond Bourque capped his illustrious career by finally drinking from Lord Stanley's silver chalice. Roy, who claimed his fourth Cup, had this shimmering replica made for display purposes by Boffey. Similar in every detail to the Cup trophy he received back in the day, it stands 13" tall with "Colorado Avalanche 2000-01" engraved on the front of the barrel and the names of GM Pierre Lacroix, coach Bob Hartley, assistant coach Bryan Trottier and executive Michel Goulet among the staff below. Three columns at the bottom list all of the players, including fellow HOFers Sakic and Bourque, and the likes of Forsberg, Tanguay, Hejduk, Blake, Foote, Drury, Yelle, Skoula, De Vries, Klemm, Messier, Podein, Pratt, Reid, Reinprecht, Hinote and Dingman. Part of the proceeds of the sale of this item will go towards the "Fond d'etudes des Remparts de Quebec". Comes with Patrick Roy's signed LOA who also apposed his signature on the bottom of the trophy's base. [red] Addendum; Also included is an 8" x 10" signed photo of Patrick Roy with seven of his trophies offered in the auction including this one.[/red]
