Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2013

Awesome 1991 NHL All-Star game memento is this 14-karat gold and diamond ring. It was produced for Patrick Roy's then-wife Michele to commemorate the Habs goalie's participation in the final midseason classic hosted at the old Chicago Stadium. St. Patrick started for the Wales Conference in an 11-5 win for the Campbells on January 29, 1990. A real diamond is set in the top of the Black Hawks ASG logo on the tableau. Weighing about nine grams, the ring has Michele's "M.R." initials and the date of the game engraved inside the size 6 band along with the the "Tiffany & Co." stamp. Part of the proceeds of the sale of this item will go towards the "Fond d'etudes des Remparts de Quebec". Comes with Patrick Roy's signed LOA. Nicely preserved bauble shows proud wear in the form of a ding on the left side of the bezel and various light scratches and scuffs. The ring is not marked “14K” inside the band but all All-Star rings from those years made by Tiffany were 14-karat gold.
