Three Manitoba Rugby Football Union programs from the mid-1920s are featured here. The MRFU was part of the Western Canada Rugby Football Union, a predecessor of the CFL which also comprised the Saskatchewan and Alberta unions. The Winnipeg Victorias were MRFU champions in 1924 and the Winnipeg Tammany Tigers won the 1925 title. Included here are two MRFU 1926 programs, one with eight pages and the other with 12, as well as an eight-page program from the 1927 season. All three vintage programs measure 9” x 5 1/2" and are complete, whole and intact. They feature player lineups for the Tigers, Victorias, Varsity and St. John’s Rugby Club, period advertisements, playing rules of the day and schedules. Fascinating reading for CFL historians and football fans alike! The 8-page 1926 program has a few faded notations in blue fountain pen ink and the 1927 program has a horizontal fold in the middle. Fascinating reading for CFL historians and football fans alike!
