Historical Hockey Memorabilia Winter 2012
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/22/2012
Hockey historians and researchers will have a field day with this huge lot of pre-World War II newspaper clippings featuring the Montreal Canadiens. An accordion-style folder on the Habs is puffed out from being filled with vintage clippings, mostly English with a smattering of French, on the exploits of Les Glorieux during the heyday of Morenz and Joliat. Included are clips on their rivals, the Maroons. Other folders have clippings on more defunct NHL teams such as the Ottawa Senators and the New York Americans. Other teams such as the Quebec Beavers, Pittsburgh Shamrocks, Minneapolis Millers and Coleman Tigers are featured along with an envelope of miscellaneous clippings. There are bound to be plenty of surprising long-lost stories and facts to be unearthed here!
