Historical Hockey Memorabilia Winter 2012
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/22/2012
If you’ve spotted lot #908, this item will look familiar, but in the Detroit Red Wings red uniform instead of white. Originally distributed as part of Tex Coulter’s 1961 – 1963 “Mini” series, this red rogue proudly displays some of the poor painting the line was known for. Paint over the left forearm is thinly applied, giving it a pink hue, and the same goes for the hockey socks. There is a pinhole size drop of white paint at the bottom of the “E” on the front base. Paint chips are few and far between, with a handful giving the left cheek the appearance of freckles, and one on the back of the head.
