Historical Hockey Memorabilia Winter 2012

It was a sad day at the Forum when Guy Lafleur announced he was hanging up the skates for good. Seasons would go by but hockey fans would see Lafleur return to the game, this time in the uniform of the New York Rangers. This battered pair of Ferland mitts might have been worn towards the end of his time with the Habs or possibly upon his return to the game in New York. The 3000 model gloves show very heavy wear and must have been favored by Guy as the palms are almost completely gone out of them. Each glove has his number "10" marked inside and again on the thumb guard. Spectacular wear, inside and out, from this member of the 500-goal club!
