The Parkhurst company's landmark 1951-52 set that launched the modern era of card collecting will forever be in demand, with this thought-provoking group offering definite intrigue. Each card was painstakingly removed from a scrapbook, with kudos in order to the party who admirably completed the task, and professionally restored. The key rookie cards of Gordie Howe, Terry Sawchuk and Maurice Richard, along with those of Doug Harvey and Bernie Geoffrion are rather striking, are crease-free and feature only the subtlest of signs of once having been glued. We see them in the EX-MT neighborhood when the backs are not taken into account. Other notables similar are Kelly, Lindsay, Delvecchio and The Winning Goal. Approximately half of the rest are creased and would be in the G, G-VG and VG grades if not for the light back damage, with others otherwise in the VG-EX and EX range. In summary, good-looking technically lower grade cards that offer an array of possibilities to both the collector and dealer. Card #72 is the one missing. Good luck with these classic treasures of yesteryear and please call if more specifics are required.
