Historical Hockey Memorabilia Winter 2012
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/22/2012
The most highly-publicized player to enter the NHL, Jean Beliveau appears here a little prior to that and in marvelous NM/MT 8 form, with SGC slabbing his 1952-53 St. Lawrence Sales card which pictures him with the Quebec Aces. The superstar, after staying in Quebec for two years of senior hockey, would finally join the Montreal Canadiens after that '52-53 campaign and continue to be a hockey giant. Gigantic opportunity here, with this SGC Population Report chart-topper, (four total submissions), while a pair of PSA 8.5s exist, along with a trio at PSA 8. Beliveau scored 50 goals and 89 points (QSHL highs) in 57 games with the Aces in '52-53.
