This incredible limited edition photo signed by Vladislav Tretiak and Martin Brodeur depicts one goaltending legend shortly after his playing days came to an end, and another whose greatness lay just ahead. Tretiak, the Hall of Fame goalie of the great Soviet national teams of the 1970s and ‘80s, added his #20 to his black Sharpie signature on this limited edition photo by Denis Brodeur, Martin’s father, himself a bronze medal goalie for Canada at the 1956 Winter Olympics in Italy. Denis signed this 11” x 14” photo in the lower left hand corner and numbered it 55 of 100. Martin added his #30 to his black Sharpie signature on this photo of Tretiak and Brodeur, teacher and pupil at the Soviet great’s goalie camp in suburban Montreal. Mounted in an 18” x 22” black frame, the photo is displayed in a white and blue double matte. A fantastic signed frame highlighting the passing of knowledge from one goaltending legend to another. LOA & COA from Classic Auctions will be provided.
