Classic gloss-finish shot of the 1930-31 Montreal Canadiens was taken outside the old Montreal Forum and pictures the team that became only the second NHL squad to win back-to-back Stanley Cup titles. This photographic treasure pictures the fully-equipped squad including Howie Morenz, Aurele Joliat, George and Sylvio Mantha, George Hainsworth, Albert Leduc, Pit Lepine, Johnny Gagnon and Wildor Larochelle with Wasnie, Rivers, Burke, Lesieur and Mondou rounding out the roster. In its original wooden frame measuring 38" x 9", this panoramic pic is in two pieces, joined at the center. Otherwise, the menento is in very good to excellent condition. Originally from the collection of former NHL'er Nick Wasnie, the photo has been signed along the bottom by each player and staff member portrayed. Sadly, condition of the autographs is an issue as most have faded away and are very difficult to discern. However, the two key sigs of George Hainsworth and Howie Morenz are the best of the bunch and would achieve a grading of 6 out of 10. Other significant signers include Leo Dandurand, Cecil Hart and the great Aurele Joliat. We can't stop staring at that Morenz signature!
