Chosen 14th overall with the Montreal Canadiens’ first pick of the 2002 NHL draft, Chris Higgins wore this single-game jersey with the Hamilton Bulldogs during the 2003-04 season. A star with Yale, Higgins traded jerseys when he left Connecticut to turn pro with the Canadiens’ AHL affiliate in the fall of 2003. The CH crest patch sits on the left shoulder of Higgins’ red #46 game-worn jersey with a special team crest on the front of this “Kids Day” gamer, as evidenced by the patch on the right breast. Regular Bulldogs crest patch sits on the right shoulder and an AHL patch sits on the back of the collar. SP manufacturer’s label is sewn into the neck with a Pro size 56 flag tag below it. Chris has signed in black marker on the “4” on the back of this obviously lightly worn gamer which displays very little discernible wear. [red]Addendum; We have received new information to the fact that this set of jersey was only worn during the pregame warm-up.[/red]
