Historical Hockey Memorabilia Winter 2012
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/22/2012
Seventh heaven for Avalanche aficionados is this lot of seven twigs signed by some of the Rocky Mountains' biggest stars, including HOFer Ray Bourque and perennial All-Star Peter Forsberg. Also featured are 50-goal scorer Milan Hejduk, 2001 Stanley Cup hero Alex Tanguay and a trio of Pierre Turgeon sticks. Please see our website description for more information. Bourque has signed in black marker on the bare blade of his game-issued Sher-Wood with “Bourque 77” factory-printed on the shaft;
Forsberg has placed a big, bold silver paint pen autograph on the bare blade of his Easton Synergy composite which had the white tape job removed from the blade for his signature. This Forsberg game-used stick retains his white tape job on the knob;
Hejduk has placed a bold silver paint pen signature on the bare blade of his game-issued Easton EQ50 stick. “31” has been written on the band of black tape at the bottom of the grip tape job on the knob and though some game wear shows, it is impossible to say for sure that it was used by Milan;
Tanguay has placed a black marker signature across his white tape job on the blade of his game-used CCM Vector stick which also retains his white tape knob;
Turgeon has signed each of his three CCM Vector sticks, all of which retain his white tape knobs. Two are signed in silver paint pen beside his black tape jobs towards the toe, the other is signed on the bare, cracked blade that has had its tape job removed.
