Play maker Adam Oates posted a 70-point performance over 63 games during the 1996-97 season, his last with the Boston Bruins. This uniform, worn by Adam that year, is tagged in the collar by Starter with a size 52-R fly tag below. The alternate's "A" has been removed the chest, leaving the outline of the sewing and the team's official "1st Set, 1996-97 Season" tag is stamped into the lower hem beside the Custom Crafted identifier. A peek inside reveals that the fight strap has been removed, typical on Oates gamers. Three stitched team repairs can be found on the front with six more on the arms. This adds to the black stick slashes throughout and multiple scuffs and board burns. Originally gifted to teammate Ray Bourque and obtained from a member of the Bourque family, complete with letter of authenticity.
