On March 18, 1994, Andy Moog became the 10th goaltender in NHL history to register 300 career victories. Only Hall of Famer Jacques Plante reached the 300-victory mark faster than Moog, 34, who was playing his 543rd game. At the end of his career, Moog finished with a solid 372-209-88 record and 68 playoff wins.
Offered is Andy's game-worn Edmonton Oilers Nike mesh uniform from his final season in Alberta. Tagged in the collar in size L/G with an addition tag marked "G" in ballpoint. The shortened cuff on the goalie-style gamer have elastic inserts to keep them in place and the shirt has been hemmed quite short with just a hint of white material below the second blue white accent stripe at the waist. Moog's number "35" is there on the back below a shoulder-to-shoulder name plate. This shirt, used at the beginning of the season, turns up in an action pic from the October 11th game against the Habs in Montreal. In the photo, we see a match to a mismatched-stripe seam on the right side and you can clearly see how short the shirt is with just a 1/2-inch of white visible along the bottom hem. Additionally, a small hole on the collar with blue material showing through is also spotted in the photo. A digital copy of the match will accompany the shirt. Game wear is lighter and the shirt appears to have been well-laundered with puckering to the numbers. Moog's are so hard to find, grab this one now! Originally obtained from Oilers equipment assistant Rick "The Stick" Elaschuk's collection, the jersey will come complete with a letter of authenticity.
