Historical Hockey Memorabilia Winter 2012
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/22/2012
Canada's performance at the 1985 World Ice Hockey Championships in Prague was its best in 23 years as Team Canada brought home the silver medal behind the host Czechoslovakians who ended the USSR's 5-year reign as champions, the Soviets having to settle for bronze. Gold rings were given to Team Canada members as special keepsakes. This one features the updated Team Canada logo on the tableau while arched above it is "Team Canada Equipe" and "Prague" below. The size 9 1/2 ring is in beautiful near mint condition. It is from the personal collection of longtime Hockey Canada treasurer Marvin Goldblatt and his LOA will be included with this attractive ring.
