This pair of 1970 IIHF world and European championship silver medals awarded to Sweden were presented to forward Anders Nordin. The hosts of the world championship tournament, Sweden, won seven of 10, including a 4-2 upset in the first of its two games against the eventual champion Soviets. Nordin won both of these silver medals as the Swedes finished second, four points ahead of Czechoslovakia. World championship silver medal measures a shade over 2 1/4" in diameter and the smaller European silver is 1 7/8" wide. The medals are in fine shape with a bit of wear on the edges and areas of discoloration on the reverse. Comes with a Classic Auctions LOA.
