Truly rare find is a Valery Kharlamov game-used Jofa stick from the mid-1970s. Though he never played here, professionally, Kharlamov was a big name in North America when the Red Army team faced NHL teams in the 1975-76 Super Series. Valery's number "17" is written in black marker on the shaft, which has a weathered look to its blue paint. His white tape knob is intact as is the black tape job on the nicely curved blade which has a green "6" stamped on the front of the heel. This solid gamer is the type of stick used by the Soviet HOFer during that era, as evidenced by photos from the Red Army's game against the Rangers at Madison Square Garden. There have been very few examples of a Kharlamov gamer that have surfaced and been made available to purchase by collectors. Comes with a Classic Auctions LOA.
