A total of 15 future Hall of Famers were participants in the 6th NHL All-Star game, played October 5, 1952 at the Detroit Olympia. Among those was Maurice "Rocket" Richard, who beat Terry Sawchuk early in the third period to give his team what would end up as a 1-1 tie. This was the second year of a short-lived format of expanded 'First' and 'Second' teams made up of stars from all six teams (echoing today's approach), and also the second straight tie, leading to the league's decision the next year to go back to the original concept of the Stanley Cup champions versus a team of All Stars (which would remain the format until 1969). This scarce, VG/EX program is complete, with light overall wear.
