The Stanley Cup champion Toronto Maple Leafs played their third straight game against the NHL All-Stars on October 10, 1949, at Maple Leaf Gardens. This third edition of the All-Star Game saw the ill-fated Bill Barilko open scoring for the Leafs, only to have the All-Stars follow with three unanswered goals to win it 3-1. Accounts of the game suggest it was both thrilling and rough, with Ted Lindsay, Pat Egan, Garth Boesch and Ray Timgren all being cut for stitches. The 82-page program is complete and in solid EX condition, with some handling wear and "49-50" written in the upper corner of the front cover, which features Toronto coach and Hall of Famer Hap Day.
