Historical Hockey Memorabilia Winter 2012
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/22/2012
This great pair of Camille Henry's jackets features the 1954 Calder Trophy winner's Rangers jacket from the 1950s as well as his truly unique New York Raiders coach's jacket from the WHA's inaugural 1972-73 season. Originally obtained from the Henry estate, both jackets were worn by Camille the Eel, who also claimed the Lady Byng in 1957-58. The Rangers jacket displays a vintage Rangers embroidered shield on the left breast and exhibits loads of proud wear. "Henry" is stitched in orange thread on the right breast of the navy blue jacket with "New York Raiders Hockey Club" displayed in heat screened vinyl lettering on the left breast. Please see our website description for more information. Satin-like Rangers button closure jacket has still colorful red and white stretch fabric collar and cuffs. The top of the very worn lining has torn away from the back of the neck and is missing a section there, but otherwise remains in place in the rest of the torso and sleeves. The outer shell exhibits a few small holes;
The Raiders jacket has a "West Wind" manufacturer's label in the back of the neck and a completely washed out flag tag. It remains in very nice condition overall;
No size is indicated for either jacket. The Rangers is possibly the equivalent of a medium while the Raiders jacket is likely a size small.
