Historical Hockey Memorabilia Winter 2012
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/22/2012
Tucked into the pages of this 35-page souvenir program from the 1970 Brampton Lions 11th Annual International Novice Hockey Tournament is one of the most famous names in hockey. It's right there on page 6, on the Brantford roster - "Cretzky, Wayne". The Great One's surname was misspelled when he was only 9, but there was no mistaking such talent. Simply reading the NHL record book would imbed the correct spelling in anyone's memory. The program, like Gretzky, is aging well. A rip in the lower left corner that runs about six pages deep and the paper has yellowed, otherwise a great memento of The Great One's early career.
