Historical Hockey Memorabilia Winter 2012

Not one but two Art Ross signatures are offered here, with the Bruins' boss concluding a 1930 typed letter on Bruins letterhead with a nice big flowing fountain pen sig. Sent to Ronald "Peaches" Lyon, it informs the short-lived Bruin (14 games in '30-31) that he will soon receive his travel arrangements to Boston from the team and even encourages Lyon, who lived in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba, to get a new pair of "Tackaberry shoes" from nearby Brandon and charge them to the Bruins' account. With fold lines and staple holes at the top, it is joined by part of a page snipped from a '33-34 program and autographed boldly in pencil by Ross, with a rather faint Dit Clapper auto below being a neat bonus.
