Once handled by the greatest defenseman to play the game, this early-1970s Victoriaville Pro gamer is a peach! This style, handled by Orr in both the 1970 and 1972 Stanley Cup runs, dates back to the pinnacle of Orr's career. The blade is bare of blade tape but shows extensive game use with dozens of black puck marks and an area along the bottom where the fiberglass has peeled off. The distinctive ribbed-grip handle, a tell-tale feature on any Orr gamer, has darkened with age as the oils from the black bulldog tape have seeped through the white cloth tape outer wrap. Factory stamped "4" in red with "Orr" added in black marker. Missing are the two celluloid accent stripes that would appear in two places along the shaft but the glue residue is there to show where they once sat. A fine example with great game use.
