Historical Hockey Memorabilia Winter 2012

Fascinating and very rare display piece is this Ken Dryden cardboard stand-up to promote 1983's "The Game" in book stores. The legendary Canadiens goalie strikes his customary thinker's pose with his blocker and trapper draped over the top of his stick on this essentially life-size display featuring red and blue graphics on his bull's eye mask, Habs jersey with his retired #29, and goalie stick with his name and the book title. With its original easels mounted on the back to display it standing up, this promotional piece stands 73" tall and is 27" at its widest. Some repairs were made to the easel and the surface displays some creases, light stains and marks that do not diminish its appeal.
