Historical Hockey Memorabilia Winter 2012
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/22/2012
The ultimate goal of any hockey game is to park the puck in the net and none has ever offered a more desirable target than the ones at the old Montreal Forum. Offered here is one of four goal nets still in regular use when the Canadiens' mecca of hockey hosted its swan song in March 1996. Layers of red paint coat these posts and crossbar, once guarded by Patrick Roy and attacked by the likes of Damphousse, Recchi, Turgeon, even rookie Saku Koivu! Pipes and twine offer a 4' x 6' foot target, full NHL regulation size with original netting. Make it your "goal" to win this unique treasure which comes from the collection of a former Montreal Forum employee. Please note that special shipping arrangements will be necessary.
