This shocking creation by the Jostens company pays tribute to Jean Beliveau and his remarkable, unparalleled career. The number 4 that Beliveau made famous while skating for the Canadiens is front and centre on the tableau and includes 15 diamonds. Set onto a large red stone, it is encircled by the icon's name in sloping letters, along with 1950 (the year of his first game with the Habs) and his retirement year of 1971. One shank has a raised 507 Career Goals, while engraving on hockey stick blades below references his Hall of Fame induction year (1972), his 10 Stanley Cups as a player and the major individual trophies (Conn Smythe, Art Ross, Hart) he was awarded while forging his legend. The opposite side features an image of the old Montreal Forum before its renovation in 1968, Beliveau's facsimile classy signature above and the date his #4 was retired in 1971 below. Beliveau's classic signature also is engraved on the interior of the band of the size 10 1/2 ring which is stamped Jostens 10K. Limited edition tribute is numbered 7/10 and is in pristine condition. A large flip-top wooden display/storage box (approximately 5 by 6 by 4 high) includes a golden facsimile Beliveau signature and Beliveau, the most respected leader in Montreal Canadiens history, will also sign a letter of authenticity to be included with this magnificent ring.
