Marvelous mid-Twenties skates, worn by Eric Brolin who played with the St. Paul Saints and briefly with the Detroit Cougars of the NHL. The skates show heavy use with team repairs and have "J.E.S. Strauss, St. Paul, Minn." stamped into the blade holders. A matched set of '20s-era leather and felt shin guards, in a seldom-seen-style are also here and again, show tremendous use. The wonderful wool socks, in alternating stripes of red and cream, have attached nylon elastic stirrups dangling from the bottoms and are most likely part of a St. Paul Saints or Detroit Cougars uniform. They display a few darned wool repairs and have a number of additional holes which have not been fixed. From the estate of former player Eric Brolin, complete with a signed letter of authenticity from his family.
