Historical Hockey Memorabilia Winter 2012
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/22/2012
The last stick Jacques Lemaire used as head coach of the Minnesota Wild is featured in this lot of his hockey equipment from his time as the first man behind the bench of the NHL expansion team. Lemaire's Wild coaching skates, a size 9D pair of Mission Amp Flyweights, his Reebok gloves with coaching whistle still attached and Wild size L training suit jacket and pants, and Wild coach's equipment bag are also included among these items from Lemaire's personal collection. Please see our website description for more information about this lot, which comes with Jacques Lemaire's signed LOA. Lemaire signed in silver paint pen low on the shaft of his Warrior Dolomite one-piece coach’s stick with “J. Lemaire” graphics somewhat peeled off the front and Jacques’ tape jobs on the knob and blade;
Nice wear on the size 9D Mission skates;
Lemaire’s coach’s whistle is attached to his right glove by a modified strap that was cut and taped for a snug fit. The green and red Reebok gloves have nice wear on their hole-free palms;
Wild embroidered logo patch sits on the left breast of Lemaire’s Rbk training jacket with a size L flag tag in the neck and his initials in silver paint pen above the Rbk label. There is gummy tape residue on the bottom right side of the jacket, likely from the band of white tape around the whistle strap on Lemaire’s right glove. Also included are Lemaire’s Wild training pants, which have “Lem” written in black marker on the back of the laundry instruction flag tag and “JL” on the Reebok flag tag;
Wild coach’s equipment bag has “JL” card with team logo inserted in the see-through plastic ID sleeve.
