Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2011
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/21/2011
Very desirable Detroit Red Wings gamer from the franchise's 60th season in 1985-86 was worn by veteran defenseman Harold Snepsts. Highlight of this game-worn beauty is the remarkable four-color "Red Wings 60th Season" logo that is embroidered directly onto the left shoulder. Embroidered "Eastside" and "CCM" logos sit on the rear tail. Surname and #27 in red twill are stitched on the back, while white twill numbers are sewn on each sleeve. The flag tag in the neck is faded from laundering and there is pilling inside the tail from the fight strap, which remains whole and intact. Game wear shows in black marks on the right breast and on the shoulder to the left of the “60th Season” logo and around the “7” on the left sleeve, and in blue paint transfer on the embroidered Winged Wheel crest sewn on the front.
