This absolutely fabulous Ken Dryden game-used stick was used by the legendary Montreal Canadiens goalie during the 1972 Canada-Russia series. A “July 4 1972” date stamp sits on the bottom edge of the paddle of this classic and incredibly desirable Sher-Wood goalie stick with “Dryden” stamped below the original tape job on the knob. Preserved in amazing condition, this Team Canada 1972 game-used stick also retains Dryden’s tape job on the blade and displays very nice game use including a few puck marks. Fascinating and highly desirable Team Canada 1972 game-used sticks were collected direct from the stick rack immediately after the powerhouse team of NHL greats played the last of their four games on home soil in Vancouver. These remarkable and historic Summit Series game-used hockey sticks were obtained by someone associated with Team Canada 1972 after the game at Pacific Coliseum on September 8th. This is a truly rare and unique opportunity to bid on Team Canada 1972 hockey memorabilia that saw active duty during the Summit Series.
