Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2011
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/21/2011
This absolutely superb and rare variation of a single Forum red seat displays a seldom-seen metal frame that looks to date from the Montreal cathedral of hockey’s earliest days! It’s fascinating to contemplate the great moments in hockey history witnessed from this seat, not to mention all those Stanley Cups. This remarkably clean, stand-alone chair has number “4” stenciled in white on the top of the wood seatback. The dark red cushioned seat remains in great shape and the magnificent and very slender metal frame legs on both sides display a little paint chipping that only add to this red beauty’s appeal. A Montreal Canadiens COA accompanies this magnificent and distinctive “red” from the Forum. Also included is a Stanley Cup photo signed by Henri Richard displayed in a 27” x 20 1/2" frame that also comes with a COA.
