Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction November 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/16/2010
Riveting is this image of the finest slugger baseball has ever known, the iconic Babe Ruth. St. Louis photographer George Dorill was the camera-clicker responsible for this treasure, catching the home run king after having just taken a cut, and wearing those beloved Yankees' pinstripes. The bat, the grip, the uniform, the spikes, the look on Babe's face - it's all wonderful, thought-provoking eye candy! The photographer's stamp is on the back of the 8" by 10" photo, with pinholes at the corners and a diagonal crease in the lower right corner doing little to detract from the print's attractiveness. An LOA will be included.
